So today was my first day writing for Lean Forward.
I wrote a couple things, namely this and this.
The first post is about a fairly standard example of beleaguered political reporters, under great pressure to produce more content faster, inventing conflict where none exists. (And of parties who find conflict to be in their interests pouncing on it.)
The second post is about a conflict that does exist, but it’s not the conflict that our hero Reince Priebus is talking about. The debate is not over whether the law should be guided by moral principles, but over whether there are any constraints — legal, moral, theoretical — on the power of employers to set the conditions of the workplace, no matter how unjust those conditions may become.
I think I may start using this blog more to sort of footnote my Lean Forward posts.
